Using one pump for 2 tanks

Hello my new friends,
I've been browsing around the last couple days here and reading some threads regarding joining 2 tanks together.
Most responses were geared towards U-siphon and bridges.
Let me explain what I have and would like to set up and see if the guru's have any suggestions.

I have a 150g and a 90g I would like to setup in a "L" shape and have them use one pump.
With the exception of ball valves I forgot to draw in, would this method work?
I heard that water levels itself out. So I am anticipating; as long as the flow is not too fast; this might work.
I am looking for and suggestions. I would rather not use a bridge or U-siphon and prefer the hard line method.

With the addition of the ball valves to adjust the water flow into each tank, I think it would work just fine. The distance each tank is from the pump, and the elbows used is going to differentiate between who gets more water.

The last thing I want to deal with at any time is flooding so I figured this is probably the best method. So long as no blockage from the 2 inch line coming from one tank to another.
A slight issue is I will have a strainer on each end of the 2 inch line to keep the fish separate. This might decrease the flow a bit, but I hope not enough.
And as mentioned, the ball valves can be used just in case :)

I have one pump feeding 4 tanks as well. Just make sure you have enough "pump" also ball valves are a must.

You can take a look at my build thread - i have a video of my sump room - I have each tank has its own drain into the sump and my pump has a line to each tank controlled by a ball valve.

We have a frag tank and nano plumbed in with our 175. Just make sure you do a test run to ensure you have enough room in your sump for the water from both tanks if the power goes out.

Check valves on each line will help with unplanned power outages as well as plain ol forgetfulness :)
