Using Weld-On 40

I am working on building an acrylic tank with outer dimensions of around 28" x 26" x 24" with side wall thicknesses of 11/16" and a bottom thickness of 1", using Weld-On 40. I read this page on Reef2Reef and found it very helpful, and have a few more questions I'm hoping to get answered before I get started:

(1) Would you use Weld-On 3016 thinner with the Weld-On 40 to adjust the viscosity if your goal is to have seam widths of 0.040"?

(2) What tape would you use to control the flow of the Weld-On 40? I read in the instructions to avoid having the mixed Weld-On 40 touch the adhesive side of cellophane masking tape. Is there some other tape I can use to make this easier? It would be great to not have to worry about pointing the tape adhesive away from the acrylic adhesive.

(3) What type of syringe do you recommend? I was thinking of using 100 mL Luer-lock syringes like these with 8-gauge, 1"-long heads from an easily obtainable assortment here.

Well since nobody answered I'll throw my 2 cents in.
I've watched a few vids on tank manuf and it "seems" like for your size tank (75 gal) I'd just use the 1 part w/ tiny wire as spacers and use capillary action.

Anyways both ways.. I assume weldon 42 and 40 are very similar except for the gun.

Thank you for your response and sorry about the delay on my end. This video was very helpful!
