After purchasing and using many AquaUV sterilizers on both freshwater, reef, and pond systems, I recently bought an Icecap sterilizer. And then soon went back to AquaUV. The problem is the crystal sleeve. It is very difficult to remove and replace without breaking it. This, to me, is a show stopper. I broke two sleeves trying to install them and that is it. Never again. Back to AquaUV.

Thanks for the reminder, I probably should clean my quartz sleeve. Wish me luck, I might need a new bulb soon too

I actually just pulled my sleeve out to clean it and discovered light was not even penetrating the junk that was covering it lol. I tried cleaning with vinegar but wasn't happy so I just replaced it.
