UV dead after storm

I was running a 40 wat aqua ultraviolet unit.
During the recent winter storm, we had flickering lights and several blink outs of power for several hours, before losing power for 18 hours. Nothing ever tripped. Ran the returns, heaters, skimmer, etc. off generator. The uv was never transferred to generator.
upon power restored, UV now dead and see no glow. The bulb is new and the whole setup has only been running for 2 months.
Any ideas?

Power surge or brownout may have fried the ballast.

why is all other equipment apparently fine?

Could be the transformer or ignighter, depending on the units construction.

I don't know the specifics of your unit but UV ballasts are fairly sensitive to voltage spikes. I would troubleshoot by checking voltage at the bulb contacts.

Power surges are not predictable as the what they will do to certain equipment.

How old is the ballast? Aqua UV ballasts are notorious for going out after 3 years for no reason in the koi pond world, I am on my 3rd ballast with them for my pond.

brand new.
I will try to invoke warranty.
I might ditch the UV for now.
