Good Morning All, Thank you for your welcome messages. Do Have any data about the effect of a UV sterilizer on the Nitrobacterias present in our bac ? These types of bacterias are destroyed by the UV light ? is there any increase of the nitrate level after installing the UV light ?

So the nitrifying bacteria typically is on the rocks and sand and what not, rather than in the water. So a UV will not influence them. However, technically a UV hypothecially could lead to more nitrate as you eliminate bacteria from thne water column that would use waste (and waste products) for their biomass.
