UV Size help

Hello
I am hoping someone here can give me a hand with sizing a uv sterilizer I have a 200 gallon tank with a 50 gallon sump after rock displacement I have a total of 210 gallons. I have 2 return pumps and I water a up steralizer that I can do both kill algae and disease I know I need to run it slower for disease and faster for algae at the moment I want to run it for killing algae and bacteria because as of lately I have to clean my glass every other day of that green film algae tank is 2 years old here are my choices any help would be great

I have a RedSea Reefer 750 which is their 200 gallon system and I use the 3in 55-watt. I run it strait through my return pump for algae and bacteria control. This is what I would recommend. There is no harm in going bigger but the 55-watt is almost the same price as the 40-watt but you get the amalgam ballast and it is more compact so I would definitely at least get the 55.

What is your flow rate it shows 2100 gph per hour for bacteria that would be a lot of low coming out that return pump that’s 10 times the turnover rate on that one pump and I don’t think I could do that without getting a large pump

I haven't measured the flow but I have a Varios 8 pumping through it at full power. I am sure after head loss it is close to that. I honestly wouldn't stress about it that much. If you simply pump your return pump water through the unit it should get rid of most algae and bacteria blooms.
