Greetings,

I have a 130 gallons of total water volume. I am dealing with a Dino outbreak and want to get a uv sterilizer to assist. I am looking at the aqua uv. I have no experience with Uv equipment. Because of the price, can I get away with a 15watt and maybe run it longer or should I just eat the extra $100 and do the 25 watt?

The 15 says it is rated for 75 gallons and the 25 rated for 150 gallons.

If I can do the 15 and still get the desired effects of killing the algae in the water I would be happy.

Thank you

Flow rate for the 15W is 700gph, 25 is 1200gph. The 15 will probably be fine but if you ever want the high wattage for Ich or other fish pests you may wish you had the larger unit.

How ever you go, be happy.
