Looking to add a small UV sterilizer to clarify the water. Tank is newish . Hitting a month soon.

nitrate is 4-6 typically.

Will Dosing bacter7 every 2-3days be too much or too little ?

I know UV won’t kill it all but the tank is still maturing so I want to help it out by dosing if I add a UV

thoughts ? Thank you

You should not run UV during the cycling process.

Once the tank is up and running I normally turn off UV and skimmer for 4 hours after dosing bacterial products

I have completed the nitrogen cycle but I’m just referring to tank maturing over the next few months .

Yes, well, the bacteria spores from the bottle cycle in the water column until they find somewhere to settle.

Most bacterial products suggest turning off UV and skimming for 4 hours - I know the downloadable sheet for MB7 suggests that.

Would 2 capfuls for my 50g every 2-3 days be sufficient or do I need more ?
