UV Sterilizer Mounting Position

Planning plumbing for new tank. Going to run UV straight from return pump (which valves and bypasses and crap to control flow). Since this thing is huge, just trying figure out how and where to position it. Does it matter if it is mounted diagonally?

Vertical is by far best. Second best is 'not' completely horizontal, as you will likely trap bubbles. (So if you can't go vertically, try to at least run it at a slant.)

even just a 1" slant will work......top of the slant should be water out

Can I slant it more….like even 45 degrees….just trying to not only fit it in my stand, but also work for my plumbing plans.

Ah, ok. I was going to send you a photo of how I did the 'mandatory paper towel leak test' for the Pentair; I have no idea if you have to do it for the LA Pro-Max.

Instructions are probably on the internet. Basically a piece of rolled-up paper towel gets stuffed into the top and tested for leaks (and to guard against electrocution too?) I just threw the pump in a bucket of water and made a continuous loop to the system as pictured, and did it in my bathtub. Better than springing a testing-leak in the living room, or wherever your tank is.
