Looking into getting UV Sterilizer on my system, but need some advice. My Fish and Reef setup is 210 G / 40 G Sump. I have (2) 1" Drains and (2) 3/4" Return Lines. What size and brand does anyone recommend and do I need 2 Sterilizers with possibly using smaller Units to put on both return lines or is one bigger unit on single return line efficient. I want to make sure I am putting my money into the most effective method. Thanks,

If your looking for the most effective method that will give you the most flexibility then having a way to increase and decease the flow rate to the UV is what you want. That typically means the UV is not part of your return line. The reason is because depending what you want the UV to do, simply make the water more clear all the way to killing parasites, water/light contact time is extremely important. My UV will make clear water at a rate 1000+ gallons going through it per hour. If I want to kill certain parasites then I have to reduce the flow rate down to 150-200 gallons per hour.

To determine the size UV you need we need to know what you want the UV to do.

@Salps said it perfect.
there is a BRS video on the UV they carry. there not cheap but ppl seem to like em. I plan on running a UV on my new RS 750XXL mainly for water clarity as I will also have an ATS (can give the water a green tint) I will use the cheaper jebao pond UV from Ebay on a manifold.
