UV Sterilizer size

Hello Ya’ll. Have the opportunity to get a pretty much brand new 90watt icecap uv sterilizer for free. Friend is breaking down. However my tank is only 120 gallon display with 44 gallon sump. Wondering if that uv system is too big for my set up. And what would be the ramifications of to big of a Sterilizer
