Hey guys,

I just picked up a used 15w aqua UV sterilizer for my reef tank. I was not aware that the wiper feature could cause it to not be suitable for saltwater. Does anybody have some input on this or any way to remove the wiper and make it safe? TIA

The wiper can be removed. You just have to screw a pvc plug into the hole. It's very easy. I did it with my 25 watt.

Mine is for sale right now. You can see the wiper removed and the pvc plug in the end.
