While I wait to update more on my Build thread once I move, I decided to get a jump on my frag tank build that will be holding all my coral and cycling my rock! I won't be able to start this tank until I move in December though, so stay tuned!

Frag tank build
Tank: Zoomed 50 Gallon low boy
Skimmer: Aquamaxx WS-1
Lights: 2x Radion XR-15 Gen 4s mounted with RMS
Return Pump: Jebao DC-5000
Sump: 20 Gallon Aqueon with DIY baffle kit. Will be running live rock in one cup, and filter floss in the other. Not one for filter socks. Will be running a refugium in the second chamber with the skimmer
Refuge Light: Aqueon 20w grow light
Doser: Jebao DP-4 dosing kalk
Flow: IceCap 2K and 1K gyres controlled with the Hydros controller

Starting off with building the stand in my garage. Sorry for the mess! Finished all the rough cuts of lumber. Using yellow pine since it was pretty cheap from Home Depot. Overall, I'd say I'm no more than $40 into this build for the stand.

The tank is 32" high, and 48" width x 24" deep.

Framed out the top and base.

Finished the shape of the tank now. Using the well documented plan where you have a 2x4" the full height of the tank, and then have the base and top supported by perpendicular 2x4s to take the load off the screws.

Great point! forgot to include that in the original post. I'll be using an Icecap 2k and 1k gyre hooked up to a hydros controller!
I actually love these. I had 2 on my 75 and upgraded to a 125G been trying to find someone to give them too. I’m def following this thread!!

Leveling feet arrived from Amazon and got them installed.

And finally added some oil based restoleum paint. this stage is where it will sit until I make the big move to my new house!

Been a while since any updates, but the frag system has been up and running for a month or so now!

Also put the first inhabitants in! Picked up a Blue-eyed Kole tang, two carpenter's wrasses and some turbos.

Also working on the mixing station in my new basement. Unfortunately, my Jebao DCP-20000 sprung a leak on the manifold and no matter what size O-ring I replace it with, it just won't seal back up. Looking for an alternative right now.
