Hello

I’ve recently programmed the varios pump for the skimmer by using the icecap y cable from the variable output to the pump itself. I went into the variable output and used the wizard thing to drag and drop the speed and times. I am trying to run it around 60% but I’m clearly doing something wrong. It’s so much more powerful than the standard 3 dots you get on the varios pump itself. Any help is advised.

For reference please see my screenshot

Thank you in advance

Is there a reason why you throttle it down at 2 points? You can just edit the individual points and set it to 60% (deleting any you don't want to keep).
Thanks for the reply. I throttle down twice for feeding. I’ve tried just keeping it on one speed at the 30% and it’s full blast. Not sure why. Was advised on the apex forum it might be because I have it set to on….

In that screen for the pump, click on the gear icon in the upper right corner. If there's any programming under the advanced tab, clear it. Also make sure that outlet is set to "auto" and not "on" (on overrides any programming).

Thank you. I’ve gone in and changed the initial code to “off” when you switch from table to basic.
I’ve also verified that under the gear in the right hand corner under advanced it’s empty.
Do I need to add some code somewhere else. What makes this run if I leave it in auto. Sorry for the questions here. I’m still learning this. I’ve uploaded pics

As youve discovered the pumps response to the analog reference is not linear.
I found below 20% to be zero speed, and above 70% to be full on.
I found my desired speeds by trial and error.
The varios is a dc pump.
At no load, out of water, the pump speed is proportional to input voltage. As you load up the pump by immersion, part of that voltage is used to generate torque, so only part 9f the voltage contributes to pump speed.
As pump speed increases linearly, the pump load is squared, power cubed.
This might be the reason for the effect you are seeing.

You shouldn't, no - as you're already specifying the operation with the schedule. When set to "auto" it will adhere to this schedule.

If down the road you want to have any of the feed modes trigger a slowdown or turning the pump off - then you'll need to go into the gear/advanced to add it there.

Have a quick q. I have it plugged in and the variable set to auto but it doesn’t turn on. If i switch to on it turns on or off it turns off. But auto it just stays there. Any advice on that? Thank you in advance.

Edit. Disregard. The time I had it on was the feed time so it defaulted to 5%
Thank you so much for all this help.
