So I have been intrigued with smaller pico tanks (under 4 gal) and was wondering should I go with something like the fluval spec 3 or imagitarium 3.7 or something like this vase

that's Maritza's vase reef.

here's the breakdown for you to choose:

the square tanks have topoff requirements and they're so delicate, topoff issues have killed them.

but, when working well, they keep fish and corals.

vases have no auto top off they can run three days or so in between, they use restrictive evaporation control, no fish.

Allright, I have a evo 13.5 and thats gonna be a new tank, so I'm waiting for that to fully cycle and be set, cause I don't wanna see nems dying, I'm worried that vases are harder to maintain? Is that true?

Can you find any sixteen year old square pico reefs

vases are the easiest but a square tank also runs great if you manage top off carefully and daily
