VDM and Varios/Octopulse

I recently acquired a pair of Octopulse 2 pumps, each with a typical varios style controller. I also got the VDM and the appropriate interface cable to my Apex.

I followed the Coralvue posted video tutorial to set them up on my Apex and everything seemed to come together easy-peasy. The VDM outlets show on fusion that they are applying the program instructions and display the correct status and pump power percentages.

The issue is that neither pump ever actually spins. They work fine using just the varios controllers, and the controllers recognize they are supposed to be under 0-10v control. Connect to Apex and boom, pumps stop.

@SuncrestReef and others, what should I try? Thanks in advance.
 
The most common problem is matching the correct output name to the physical connection. Since each VDM cable has two channels, are you certain your programming is on the correct output?
 
I connected it to the variable ports!, it works very well, check the pin port connections and the polarity!
 
Use a multimeter, set the port to ON, and check voltage and polarity of the cables, on the varios jack, I belive that positive is the tip, and negative is the body, but you can buy it from https://aquarium.bulkreefsupply.com/reefing/0--10v-Cable-Apex
