Just like the title says, interested in people's experience with these two as I can't find much info. Most don't recommend 2 angels together but these two are about as far apart in the spectrum as you can find and I've always wanted a venustus. Thanks in advance.

The biggest issue is just finding a healthy/eating venustus.

How big of a tank? How long has it been set up?

Do you already have the bellus?

Venustus can be fairly shy so, I have found it is best to have them be the first angel in the tank, and let them settle in.

My current one shares a 210 with a flameback dwarf, and haven't had any issues. Though, the size of the tank helps a lot.

Agreed with TREx, they can be very shy, but once settled are a fantastic addition, although my experience has shown them to be quite "nippy" toward fleshy LPS.

The thoughts on not keeping 2 angels in a tank is more applicable towards 2 of the same type, whether large, dwarf, or swallowtail, though I have seen multiples of each together on many occassions. In this case I think you will be fine.

Nothing I'll rush into as I need more fauna in the tank. Its only 100 gallons and the bellus is already in there. Just looking for someone to talk me out of it but it seems like a reasonable gamble. Don't really care about the LPs issues as I mainly keep spa. Thanks!
