The dowel that connects the base plate to bubble plate on my Omega 150 cracked right through the screw mechanism.

I've tried super glue, but it won't hold through the torsional forces to screw into base plate.

I contacted Vertex a week ago but haven't hear back.

Anyone have any suggestion???

I don't think they exist anymore, I can't find them anywhere online

Hmmm. Not sure who then. Vertex would never respond to me either. I only found out about prolineaquatics after contacting bulkreefsupply since they sell them. Maybe they can direct you in the right place.

Anyone else have any help? I know people have Vertex skimmers out there, how the heck do you get parts from them????

I honestly can't believe they would have zero parts and force you to buy another $400 skimmer....or wait, maybe they would....

Email them at [email protected] or call 714-274-6550. I'm not sure why I've always heard they have horrible customer service. I just received a few replacement rotors and bearings for my 150 Omega skimmer pump today. I had emailed them the day after Christmas and within a few minutes received an email from their COO stating they were closed that week but copied several others. Probably one of the better experiences I've had with vendors lately.

I emailed Vertex Technologies, specifically Adam, and received an email back in less than half a day and even on the weekend!!

He is going to ship me the part this week.

Great customer service!

I would have your dealer/distributor contact them and get it resolved. Many Mfg's are not set up to deal with the public directly. I kinda saw the lack of parts coming a mile away. That's a strong point of some of the competition. Common parts seem rare much less oddball parts.
