Have you ever lost a fish in a 25 gallon?
Just got an exquisite firefish, acclimated and added in with my clown, did good and went into hiding. Hour later he is know where to be found…? Check the floor, under cabinet.. no, check AIO chambers… no? I have a top so idk where he went, turned pumps off and look around… no? So confused.

They can hide inside the holes in the rock. If you added it an hour ago, it seems natural to me that it will hide for the first day or two. I wouldn't be too concerned at this point.

If your lid have a gap that is just big enough for that firefish to squeeze thru... it will squeeze thru
But if you dont see it on the floor then my bet is hes in a crevice of a rock.

Yes IM mesh screen which has smallest gap in the back which is what was hoping not happen but don’t see anywhere. So hope I just don’t see him

You should be good. they are known to be super shy in the beginning.

Mine has his cave under a Rock and will disappear sometimes for hours or the entire day. Usually comes out when he smells food. Yours is most likely hiding.

I didn't see my jawfish for a week after I added it to my tank. I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's going to take some time to used to it's new environment.
