For approx 2years ive been thinking of getting a bigger tank.
ive had a custom 82 gallon tank for 10 yrs 53" x 18"x 20".
ive been into sps for a few years and it always bothered me when the branches touches the glass.

ive been saving my change in coffee cans for 2 years and finally had enough change to get a new tank.

It was i think in january that i stumbled across a build thread by Sonny, i loved his tank demensions
and started thinking of a tank of my own.
June came along i contacted miracles and placed my order.
THANKYOU sonny

i ordered my tank

60"x 36"x 24"
with removable overflow insert, starfire eurobraced, and starfire front.overflow is on the ouside of the tank
i picked up the tank this week.
i had to remove my existing tank out from the wall 6' to install the new tank
ive been a busy beaver this week

heres a few photos
and includes existing tank

Looking good Vic. Love the tank size. As far as the sand goes, I never did get mine to rinse clear. I rinsed and rinsed forever. What bulb combo you gonna use?

Wow! Your existing tank is absolutely gorgeous!! Can't wait to see the finished project on the new one! :D

Nice tank. From the looks of your current tank, I can't wait to see the new setup when you're done.

i will more than likely just double up on the combo im using
4 blue plus
1 ge 6500
1 actinic white UVL or purple plus.but i think uvl belongs to icecap if im not mistaken and that might be a problem
i was just told not to rinse the sand,i will be using the seafloor sand ,the small dusts are good for beneficial bacteria.i have never added sand not rinsed even a little.anyone else done this.it sure makes life easier but makes sense
