I was wondering if anyone has used this on their Red Sea 625 or 750 return.

Red Sea Reefer Ultimate XXL Return Line Upgrade – 25mm to 3/4in RFG

I’m trying decide if I want to purchase this to help create more flow in my tank. With the standard return line it is still blowing my sand everywhere even after I put crushed coral and shell where the sand was.

I have the RFGs on the returns in my Red Sea Max E-260 and it helps to vary the flow a lot. I like them.

Yes I use and they're fine . Just make you keep them pretty high because if you lose power it will keep a siphon and potentially flood your sump . Theres a quite a bit of room but just cut off your return pump and see where it drains to.

How far under the water do you have them? I am also getting a sucking sound every now and then through the RFG. What could cause that? @Vivid Creative Aquatics

If its sucking air you need to put it down lower , until it stops . Then I would shut off your return and make sure it breaks siphon before your sump fills up

@tautog83 do you know if they make something to put on to break the siphon? I already have it pretty far below the water.

Ya the air..lol once the water level drops below the nozzle it will suck in air and break the siphon . Basically just dont point the nozzle like straight down

I think some people put a hole in the loc line but dont quote me on it . I have the 750 and mine breaks siphon with like 5 gallons to spare in sump , maybe even more
