Hi thanks in advance
I have 4 ice cap battery backups they are old and not holding their charge
does anyone know a way to cheaply replace the batteries inside

Replacement batteries can be found for around $40. May be better off buying a regular deep cycle marine battery or 2, a 12v trickle charger, and making the cables to run to the pumps.

Thanks jduck do you know what the 40 dollar battery is called an d where I can get them

Replacing the battery is straight forward. You drill out all of the rivets, remove the old battery, place in the new battery, and rivet the cover back on. One of the DIY threads on a different site uses a Power Sonic PS12180 NB as a replacement battey. IMO, if you get a battery with the same dimensions and same rating, you should be good.
