Hey yall. For the last 9 months I’ve been running my tank with just a single MP40 on reef crest mode 65% on the center back glass. That and my 900gph return were my only flow creators.

I didn’t like how the flow in my tank was only 1 direction on the left side and I wanted it to be more random and natural all over the tank.

So I got another MP40 and moved them to the sides a little off-center from each other.

What would be the best placement and settings for them in my setup? Tank is 48x24x31

I’ve tried them on 50% antisync on a few different modes and my LPS are getting absolutely blasted around. When I turn them down below 50% the corals on the left side of the tank are getting blown to the right only because of the return bouncing off the left side of the tank.

I can also move my return nozzle left to right across the water surface but I can’t point it up or down.

I thought 2 was the gold standard, but it seems like way too much flow and I am not getting the back and forth random flow. It’s more like 1 direction flow on the corals with intermittent cyclone blasts.
