Vortech placement?

I have two MP40w's on my 4' long 120 gallon tank. They are on opposite ends of the tank. They are not synched as I run one in Reef Crest and the other in Lagoon then switch the modes every couple of weeks.

I am growing weary of cleaning around the powerheads on the glass. Has anyone put the vortechs on the back glass? What did you think? I am thinking of doing that but wanted to see if anyone else had anything to say about it.

i dont have vortechs but i do have 3 powerheads..2 which are on the back and you just angles them so they create whatever flow you want

Jay, just get some other type of power head for water movement from the back glass. Keep the other 2 vortechs on each side, put the both on reefcrest but different times of swell/wave, so when one is ramping up the other side is slowing down. I have that set up in my tank, corals love it, but I also have 2 K2's pointing in the back of the tank to clear dead spots there.

I'm not having dead spot issues. Tank gets great flow and everything seems really happy. It's really just an aesthetic thing. I don't like cleaning around them and I don't like seeing them on the sides of the tank. I don't want to add any more powerheads (unless they are vortechs! Lol) so that isn't wanted or needed.

What I really want to hear is people who have put them on the back glass and whether they liked it and kept them there or they hated it and moved them back to the ends.
