I have a single vortech mp40 on a 50 gallon cube (24” x 24”) and I’m looking for a good variation of settings for flow. I’ve had it on reef crest at 65% speed 24/7. Tried using a mixture of reef crest, lagoon at night, and gyre. I will never use gyre again as I killed my lawnmower blenny with it. So now I’m at reef crest 65% during the day and lagoon 40% at night. Tank has a few softies and LPS and mostly SPS.

I have 2 MP40s on 65g tank. They ramp up to 26% reefcrest during the day and 20 overnight. Perfect for SPS dominant mixed reef tank 22 in deep but powerheads are 3 inches below the surface for nice ripple affect.

I have two mp40s on a 125 gal. I run the lagoon at 38% from midnight to 11 am. Reef Crest at 65% from 11 to 5 pm. Tidal Swell at 50 until 10 pm at 50, and the lagoon from 10 to midnight at 45. Child pump at 45% on anti-sync at 45%

Thanks for the info. I used to have a 90 gallon with 2 vortech and it was easier to get good flow. Going down to one vortech on the cube tank has been difficult.
