Well, I had my (2) 60 Gallon cubes (My Old Tanks) and was able to get a used Waterbox 220.6 about 6 months ago. A fellow reefer was moving out of state and it worked out well for both of us. I had to convince a few friends and family members to help lug it out of his house and into my house.

I had about a couple weeks of chaos!
  • Moving one of the cubes to place the new tank
  • Set up the new tank (new equipment/plumbing/etc)
  • Had to order new pump, skimmer and powerheads.
  • Had to setup a temporary electrical for the old tanks, as I needed all the electrical from the cubes
  • Removed all the corals off the rock in temporarily putting them in one of the cube tanks
  • Put all the fish in the other cube tank.
  • Spend a day setting up the rocks.
  • Filled it up, let it run for a couple days and then added the fish in.
  • I ended up selling the old tanks and equipment to help offset the cost of new equipment I needed.
Surprisingly it went really well thru the setup process, I did lose one clown fish ☹

This was my equipment list when I first got it wet:
  • (2) Kessil AP9X
  • Apex COR-20 Return Pump
  • Deltec 1000ix Skimmer
  • (3) Vortec MP40
  • (2) 600w BRS heaters
  • Apex Neptune
  • Apex Trident
  • Apex DOS
  • Magnesium Mix
  • Calcium Chloride
  • Soda Ash
  • Refugium Light Tunze Eco Chic
  • Tropic Marin Pro Reef Salt
This is what it looked like after it was setup (more photos to come):

I think it came out pretty good for the amount of chaos to get it up and running.

The Deltec skimmer kept overflowing at first, but after reading some threads here, I ran the drain into a 5 gallon bucket...and win about 30-45 minutes of "break-in" it was running great and highly recommend it.
