Do you have a selected day that you do tank maintenance on or do you spread it out throughout the week? Walk me through what your routine is like. For me I usually do glass scraping on Saturdays or Sundays, along with removing any debris from the sand bed and checking my filter pads to see if they need to be cleaned out. Then I'll usually check my refugium when the light comes on see if my algae needs to be cut back, and feed the resident old tomato clownfish couple that resides there. Daily maintenance for me is usually just feeding, pellets in the morning, frozen food in the afternoon, and pellets again in the evening.

I typically do water changes once every two weeks usually on a Saturday and feed twice a day everyday and my waspfish once a day every other day, I check my filter floss every three to four days just to make sure its not clogged or doesn't need to be replaced, I clean my glass every week on Mondays, and yesterday I guess my 5 yr old flurry clown (my female) was feeling particularly violent because she decided to nip at me twice while I was cleaning 😂

Lol it's been a minute since my clownfish last got me so I am grateful for that. Thanks for sharing your routine!

8 gallon water change every 2 days and 2 feedings a day checking if my alk controller is reading correctly

why the 8 gallon water change every 2 days? cause for some reason my nitrates are stable then once a week they will just jump up 20ppm i have no clue how or no clue why but they do i have 5 small fish in a 90 gallon tank i feed a tiny bit food once/twice a day and thats it

might ask randy about it tbh

The only actual weekly routine I have is my testing, its done every Sunday. Large tank with lots of fish was getting weekly WCs but I added an AWC system recently. Other tanks get random WCs whenever I feel like it. Nothing else is on a schedule.
Glass cleaning is when I can't stand it any longer. My tanks are mostly clear of algae so I've been letting the glass get pretty bad before cleaning because I think my snails and urchins may starve otherwise. It's also good therapy because the peninsula is the center piece of the house and it's really hard not to clean it first thing every morning lol.

yeah I think she was just in a mood yesterday because I fed her later than usual, it sounds weird to say but she does truly get cranky when I don't feed her on time, she almost never bites me.
