I had the same issue, my phosphates were too high , lower them and it should open back up

Got my phosphate down. I got a fox face a month a go which seems to be when this started. I feed algae wafers, which i believe caused a huge phosphate spike. Nitrates are at about 5ppm? Im guessing it will take a week or so to return to normal?

Any pellet will create an greater increase in phosphate if it is not eating then frozen food so those are most likely the issue. Nitrates are good! Now it should come back to normal but give it time!

Thanks so much. My frogspawn today is open much more than the past week or so. And my hammer more open but still half closed. Might take a while but looks like lowering phosphates was the solution!

Phosphates are normally the issue because they are the easiest to knock out of wack. Best of luck homie!
