Hey guys
Woke up today to my first incident… Only the firetail was left from the firegoby (Nassarius probably had a party) I cannot understand why. I looked very closely at my fish and didn’t see any signs of Ich or other symptoms of weakness.
I bought the fire goby 1 week and 5 days ago. Very happy with it!
I have a 25-gallon Waterbox AIO aquarium. The tank is 7 months old.
I’ve had 2 clownfish and a cleaner shrimp in it for 3 months. I actively feed them twice a day with frozen krill, mysis, artemia, and AF Marine Mix S. The fire goby ate the same and was active as of yesterday.
It was very happy and decided to add a firefish and an urchin.
I did turn my light up a few days ago (from 30% to 40%).
The sandbed is alive (seeded with copepods multiple times, and when I light it at night, there are lots on the stones and sand).
It was one of those fire gobies that liked to display itself, not hiding much, but it did find a cave to retreat to when it needed to.
It came out very fine with the clowns (who only occupy about 15% of the tank’s volume, always in the corner).
My water values are very stable, and I do 10–15% water changes every week. I dose phytoplankton daily.
Any takes on the course of death from above information?
Thanks in advance.
