For some reason my salinity has crept up to 1.028. I need to do a water change anyway. I was planning on doing a 20% water change. I was going to add 20% water at 1.015 while also buffering calcium to 425, Mag to 1400 & Alk to 8.4 at my normal appropriate levels. Is this ok to do or am I missing something.

This will take my salinity to 1.025-1.026. Will I be lacking anything in the salt mix that I am not adding that would hurt my yank. I am using Tropic Marin.

Otherwise Is there a better way to lower salinity to 1.025-1.026 and then a day later do a regular water change.

Nope that’s a solid plan.
