I didn’t have the dosing issue, but trying to do the update bricked my Apex. I’m still waiting for it to come back. It sounds like that may have been a blessing because I also dose NaOH.

The second blessing was it forced me to look seriously at Hydros for my next tank. Maybe if Neptune had a little better customer service for this issue, some of this money would have been coming to them.

Hopefully they’ll get this nonsense worked out.
I'm steaming mad over the support from APEX. Paid good money for that newer unit and it lasted a little over a year. Got told both the EB832 and the EL were bad, they wanted $240 to fix both. I should get mine back today not fixed. Ill take it apart and fix it myself or send it to someone local that knows electronics. Wasted $50 in shipping for them to lie to me about the EB832. They said it had water damage. It was never in a wet environment, it was in a cabinet off to the side wit hall my other electronics.
I have an older Apex Jr. with the old style Energy bars and that system works as a good back up. From the days when Neptune made decent stuff. This newer stuff is crap, and BRS should get a handle on this quickly.
