Was I scammed?

Ordered this Torch from Gator Corals auction, and got it today, In the pictures it looked purple???? Now in real life It looks almost pink? like a very faint red… will it change color? Or was that a picture completely of a different torch? Reefables/ gator corals is a pretty reputable site from what I read, so I’m confused

Agree. They are using more blue than you.

Looks like the same torch so no. Put it under blues and use an orange filter. Photos online generally will not match unless your lighting is similar and perhaps if you use a filter.

yes, same torch different lighting. If you turn off you tank lights and turn on your room lights, you will see all your corals look brownish...

Buying corals online almost always leads to disappointment. This industry has terrible false advertising IMO.

Also, The skeleton looks almost ruptured on one side? is this opening ok??

yes, same torch different lighting. If you turn off you tank lights and turn on your room lights, you will see all your corals look brownish...

I’ll turn blues all the way up, with room lights off after acclimation is done and i grt him in the tank, will post pics

It looks ok to me. Agree with others that sellers pic is under heavy blue lighting, possibly with orange filter.

Looks fine. Just leave it in the water.

You've been duped. Probably 80% of these companies are manipulating the photos. For some reason the community goes along with it, and it's become a norm. Buy in person if you want to know what you're getting.
