Ill keep it simple i have a somewhat lighter stocked 135 mixed reef with a 4-5" female Watanabei that's been in the tank for about a year and a half. I would almost go and say she's probably she boss of the tank.

I am thinking about adding a male and just wanna know if its worth it or if i should just not bother it just seems like they do well when paired up.

Thanks !

You can get another female too and the dominant of the two will change into the male. I have a pair of genicanthus melanospilos and it's a gem to watch their spawning behaviour.

Do I have to match their size ? or worry about aggression ? My female angel has some weird behaviors with my hippo tang like not aggressive but she likes to swim close to him almost side by side

As with any new fish you add to an existing tank they will work out an order. If you would add a female I'd say there would definitely be a little dance about dominance between the two female, not sure if that would happen with a male.
That said when my pair is in spawning mode he will chase her through the whole 6 foot tank at 100 moles an hour and once cornered he vibrates his tail and swims away. That's when she follows him begging for more and vibrating her tail too. This goes on for days.

I don't think it's that easy. I am raising bangaii cardinal fry successfully but bangaii's are fairly easy.
I am quite certain it is not easy. However, I always figured if they are spawning... the thought to try has to be there.

Bangaii's are great though
