Got this fish conditioned from Dr reef no signs of external parasites regular breathing rate I’ve had it for 13 days. It stopped eating after 7 days

Conditioned from Dr Reef means freshwater dip, and prazipro .I have all three dish in observation ,no signs of external parasites no heavy breathing salinity is 1.023 ammonia 0

It is the largest Watanabe with the small dorsal fin. You can see it centered at 17 seconds. It’s the larger one with a small dorsal fin.

Belly is symmetrically bulging a little.bit. I think it may have a blockage. I am treating with general cure in case there is an internal parasite, but I don’t know what else to do.

From what I have read cyanide is not used to capture these fish
Surprised because it came from Dr Reef. the two smaller ones are eating well

None of them like pellet food, but the two smaller ones are eating rods food PE mysis, Brine shrimp plankton and spirulina mysis

Any suggestions?

I see the bulge in the Video and you may be correct thinking this is a blockage. He still looks lively which is good. Not likely but maybe he is a she and that's Roe. I would feed more Brine Shrimp to help if it's a blockage.

Foods you feed, most are fatty especially Mysis shrimp and I would add LRS fish frenzy, plankton and chopped krill as examples. Dont feed for 24 hours and see if swelling goes down

These are deepwater angels - divers cannot spend much time collecting them at depth, so cyanide is used in many cases. That depends on the country of origin; Indonesia, yes, Philippines, maybe, Fiji and central Pacific, no. The biggest issue is how they decompress them - the diver's don't have time to bring these up with decompression stops, so what they do is "needle" their swim bladders. Many fish handle this procedure o.k., but Genicanthus angels sometimes develop internal infections that cause them not to eat and to "bloat". Sorry, but I've never been able to treat that with this species....

That would be totally explain this. Thank you . Also explain why they are so much cheaper on Dr Reefs conditioned web site (fresh water dip and prazi only) vs full quarantine on his other web site. They are half the price 179 vs 349 he probably loses a lot of them from the decompression/ infection issue while undergoing his full quarantine and makes up for it with much higher margin
