Red Sea Nano Max XL ... Only fish in the tank, just got him a few days ago and its now the 3rd time he just slides into the overflow and goes into the back.. Yesterday i had to tear everything out just to get to him.. think he's trying to commit suicide at this point lol ehhhh i put a piece of fish netting i had left over between the weirs and he still got through.. Don't know what else to do but maybe get some kind of smaller mesh to fit over it... Anyone have these problems before? Trying to figure out the best remedy.. Shouldn't of gotten one so small i guess at this point.. Any ideas are appreciated.. Thank you

You can try adding an overflow guard.

Do you have enough rock for him to hide in? They like little tiny caves and holes, not open caves.

Also, wouldn't he end up in the sock if he swam into the weir? (I have the same tank) If so, he should be fairly easy to get out.

But also yes the rockwork has plenty of spots for him to go in and out of.. First day he was all over the sandbed but recently started floating to top and hanging out then just slips in the overflow..

Well, he will eventually get too big to get through there. They grow up so fast...

Done.. Only problem now I didn't think of was the back shield that locks in to hide equipment.. It'll work for now but back to the drawing board..

I'd say quite a few here and there.. For being the only fish in there lol once I add a couple more he'll probably end up having to hide I'd guess.. Not sure how it'll go honestly..
