My local Canadian Tire charges $1 for 5 Gallons of RO Water but it comes in 2 options.

Ultra Pure and Ultra Pure Plus, the Plus has added coral calcium to apparently stabilize PH and add the mineral to the water.

Is it worth getting the Plus or should I just stick with the regular RO and use good Salt.

Tank is a 30 Gallon, should I do weekly 5 Gallon Water changes or should I do 10 Gallon water Changes every 2 weeks?

Also to be on the safe side do you still use a water conditioner?

Thank you!

I would go with regular RO. The salt mix will add everything that’s needed. In fact… topping off with something with added minerals or calcium may throw your levels out of wack over time.

You want as close to 0 TDS as possible as in NOTHING in it. This is usually achieved by RODI and not just RO.

I would probably test their water with a TDS meter just to see how pure it really is.
