Looking to simplify water changes. Since starting up this Red Sea Max Nano 20g I have yet to find a simply way to do water changes in a time efficient way. On my larger tank I just use an extra pump and pull water out of sump and put back in, but doing this in the nano tank posses these problems.
1. Pump with enough head lift pressure way too much flow disrupts corals in display. I’ve tried smaller pump and set changing container on chair and this is just a headache.
2. Pouring water directly into display tank can be challenging not to spill and control the flow amount. Pouring into the all in one sump
well that answers that.
3. 1 - 5 gallon water change a week I feel is too much at one time causes swings in parameters. Ideally 2 or 3 - gallon water changes a week is what I’m looking for.
So any ideas, tips, equipment that could make my life easier
would be much appreciated. First nano build and I’m seeing the all too often commented challenges of keeping perimeters level than a larger tank……. Bonus points to anyone that can give me ideas how to keep water from dripping on the glass constantly from water changes to cleaning the glass with magfloat or two fishes glass tool. First rimless tank and wow that’s a headache to ha. Thanks in advance
