I am experienced in water change for large freshwater tanks but not so much on saltwater ones can anyone explain to me how it's done? by large i mean 500+ gallons. Is it possible to be done without a reservoir and only a rodi unit?

To do a 500 gallon water change, you need 500 gallons of saltwater ready to go. I don't see a way to do it without a reservoir of reserve water if there is livestock in the tank.

Not many people keep 500 gallons of saltwater on hand at one time. So to answer to your question, you’d need a VERY large reservoir of saltwater to accomplish that.

How big is this system anyway? It has to be enormous.
