Hi All I have a new Red Sea reefer with ATO. How do I do a water change … simply please! … without the water I remove from DT being replaced by fresh RO from the sump. Or does my sump contain RO or salt water? Sorry. Am confused here.

The sump is the place where you put all your filtration equipment. The sump is saltwater that is recirculated to the display. The Red Sea reefer's sump has a separated section/container for freshwater. This freshwater is for the ATO. The ATO replaces water lost to evaporation, it doesn't do water changes. You need to do more research.
