Water changes

I'm have a 14g biochemical and I'm doing water changes once a week in always feel like I'm stressing out the coral and fish? I'm changing 3 gal per change to keep my nitrates down are there any tricks?

What do you have in the tank? I have a bc29 that gets a 5 gallon water change every 3-4 days. Mine seem to love it.

No tricks, 3-4 gallons is a good choice. You just want that water at the same temp, Cal, Alk, and PH as the water in the DT.
