I set up a Reef Octopus CO2 scrubber with the recirculating lid last week. It has helped greatly in raising the pH in my tank.

However, it is collecting water in the bottom of the scrubber (see picture). Is this normal and if not what could be the cause/solution?

timely …I have a similar issue in that condensation from the skimmer collects and ruins the media…
I’m looking at air driers in line before the reactor but have. no clue what kind…
another complication is I’m considering Ozone but how and. in what order to place air drier, generator and reactor?

I have added a large Phosban reactor without media in line to act as a drip/water collector. Not sure if this will work as I am still seeing moisture building in the tubing just before the CO2 reactor. Set it up this way just before heading out of town last Saturday.

I will report back any success or failure.

I have similar experience with a BRS CO2 reactor. Added a second reactor filled with desiccant media. Seems to help a lot. Just don’t follow the BRS instructions for drying out the desiccant. Use low heat.

My attempted solution did not work. Moisture is still pooling in the bottom of the reactor. I believe this is because the reactor is still the lowest point of the loop.

I will raise the reactor up to a height above the collection vessel (phosban reactor) and see if that helps.
