water level situation

hello everyone my problem is when I set my tank up the water level in the tank and sump was great right where I wanted it.not long ago I had a snail block one of my return pipes wich caused me a real headache well after I got the tank back running the water levcel in the tank is higher than I want it and I cant get the water level in my sump to come up to where I want it.i have a 57 gal.with a skimz sump.what can I do to correct this problem?

Sounds like you could have a obstruction in your drain not allowing it to drain back to the sump.

Do you have a ATO on this system?

i dont know your setup but it would seem like you still have a restriction in your plumbing. really need more info on your setup pics would help

Just be chance do you have a valve partially closed in your return line or drains?

I do have an ato it is working but I cannot see where an obstruction could be

how did you fix it?

glad you got it fixed!

we only got about 2" so far. just 30 min north - 8"!! crazy ...which is where you are, no? - rocky mount??

We got 17inches of snow it's not even winter time yet.i fixed the problem there was a screen in the drain line that I had no clue it was there but I wiped it off and the tank went back to the way it was thanks for all the help

Run a wire or snake or even drain hair remover down pipe fir sny obstructions. Also check pump intake for any debris that could cause this
