Got my tank clear again took out all of the sponge in the filter replaced with mountains of ceramic filtration and some carbon, my Nitrates are now reading 10, Iam very happy with that, hopefully it will be 0 after a couple more water changes : )

How do you manage to keep them at 5?
The number will be different for each tank, maybe yours will be a bit higher or slightly lower, but letting them bottom out is bad news, as corals need them to thrive. You can manage nutrients through water changes, feeding, or dosing for specific things. In my case, my phosphate was rising and my nitrate was on it's way to bottoming out so now I dose Nitrate as needed. I personally strive for around 5 ppm Nitrate and 0.1 or less of phosphate. Monitor these nutrients and manage through water changes, feeding the correct amount, or dosing if all else fails to keep the parameters stable.
