Hey all, I'm searching for more reliable water perameter testing. I dont have any lfs other than petco, so I want to do it myself. Having been flung into this hobby, i only knew about test strips and the swing-arm hydrometer. I could use some help from some more experienced reef keepers! I dont like the swing arm hydrometer, given i cant clean it well and it takes up so much space in my nano tank 😢 and id love to more accurately monitor my parameters!

Amazon is my usual go to for testing equipment.

Hanna is good for phosphates. Salifert is good for alkalinity, calcium, nitrates, pH...

Swing arms are fine for SG. You can get an inexpensive refractometer off Amazon or from sites like Saltwater Aquarium or Bulk Reef Supply.
