Hey fellow reefers… so a series of unfortunate events caused me to re do my tank.
Tank 130.4 Waterbox I hired a company to move it for me from pompano beach Florida up to west palm. I was at work on moving day and got a txt that I though was them joking with me at first, but they dropped it. Fish and coral were all good and they said they would put them in a spare 150 they had in the shop. Turned out the Waterbox 130.4 was on back order like everything else during this pandemic and took me about 3 months to get the tank. They came and installed the tank friday but thought it would come with another overflow plumbing kit and it never ( they paid for the replacement tank they dropped )
Anyway long story short I have the tank set up in the house, fish store guys will be here in about an hour to finish it. I bought a white cabinet from target for my wiring/controllers. All ready to go.
Questions I have for the group, I do want to go majority SPS now. I currently am deciding to do bare bottom for flow reasons, never done a bare bottom tank before. 75% of my corals died the past 3 months while staying in the fish store. I don’t know if I should fight more and add stress or just let that part go. All my SPS, which you all know are expensive, are gone.
So basically what I’m looking for from the group is advice on a majority SPS tank. Tank is 48x24x24 there abouts 3 AI Hydra 32’s (will buy another if I need) 2 AI Nero 5’s and 2 Nero 3’s 2 dosing pumps for ca and alk, 1 reactor for carbon or gfo vector M2 return pump and a 150 sump saver reef octopus skimmer.
I know this is a lot but any tips or advice would be appreciated
