The addiction is real…

I got a deal I couldn’t pass up last weekend on a used Waterbox 20. Everything in it was straight from the factory.

When I got it it was absolutely covered in algae everywhere. After taking a steamer and a scraper to it I got it looking as best I could. The glass is still sorta foggy, if anyone has any recommendations that would be amazing.

So the tricky part is that I had to take the 3 clowns that were living in there with it. Not a problem I love clowns and I would have put a pair in there anyway. But he had 3 and 2 of them were a clear pair. Luckily a few weeks back I got a deskmate from the BRS sale and had no fish in it. So the third is living in there for now. I 100% know he’s way to big for it and he shouldn’t be in there but it’s all I have at the moment.

I got 30 pounds of live cured rock from the store to really kick start the cycle on them since I had to put them in right away.

For my tank plans I’m not exactly sure what I want to go for with it. It came with a AI prime and I just ordered a AI Nero 3 and an axis 40 because I’m a sucker for their app design and I love being able to control them from my phone.

Just be careful adding the third clown back into your main tank. I'm following along to see how your tank turns out!

I really don't think i'm going to add him back in with the others. I will probably end up upgrading the pico that he's currently in to something larger or giving him to a fellow reefer.

Update:

The clowns went to a friend. Idk they just didn’t feel like mine and the other one was just way too big to be in my 5 gallon. Idk why but I always insist on getting all my fish as juvenile and seeing them grow up. With that said I got a pair of longfin clowns, a cardinal and a firefish. As well as moved some coral over from my other tanks into this one and redid the rock work.

I’m really starting to love how it’s turning out

Got a pair of longfin clowns and a cardinal fish. Also moved all my hammers onto this mini hammer island. Hopefully they do better here and take over the rock over time.

Where'd you get that floating rock on the wall and glass? Did you use glue or magnets?
they are magnets. those ones are made by aquarocks, also if you look at my other build thread theres a bigger one made by tunze

Haven’t updated in a while since both my tanks had mini crashes and I got discouraged for awhile. This tank here got flukes and wiped out all my fish and my other had a heater failure.

Overall it’s just been steady feeding the corals twice a week. But seeing some nice steady growth!

I got a pair of clowns, cardinals and a bi-color blenny last weekend to get back into it and so far all is great. Don’t mind the random rock I’m trying to build up the bacteria and hitchhikers to seed my other tank after the crash

Side note can anyone give me some insight on what might happen to the captain jack v. Hammer that’s starting to happen. I didn’t expect them to absolutely explode like they did. It started as about 3 polyps 2 months ago
