Hi everyone,

I’m setting up my first Waterbox aquarium a 65.4 AIO. On the manufacturer site the stand is listed as 19.7 “ wide, the same as the tank to create a flush look. I was a bit confused as to how the tank is supported by the stand at its edges as the aluminum frame width is narrower at approximately 18.75 inches. Once I add on the door I would image I should get to the 19.7 width as advertised but then of course a portion of the tank would still be unsupported.
I recall the old school metal stands from way back that would support all the tank edges but this seems a bit too narrow so I was hoping someone out there with more experience with these stands could please clarify this. I contacted Waterbox support as well but if you happed to have a pic of how your tank sits onto your stand for reference would be awesome.

Thanks for any advice and help!

Apparently this is not a defect but rather the intended design. The front 3/4-1 inch of glass is intended to be “floating” unsupported to give the tank its look. I have never seen this design before and I ordered the tank online so it was not readily apparent. I did a bit more research while I was waiting for their reply and it appears Red Sea does this as well. I personally would rather all the edges were supported and better still, that the entire bottom pane was. But I hope this design does not cause undue stress on the glass.
