Welllllll, my very patient wife is apparently tired of me not spending enough money on this hobby, so she has decided to buy me a nice little upgrade. I’m able to transfer equipment from my current tank, but will need to buy some new goodies!

My 1 year old “old” IM SR60 Pro 2

Equipment List:

Tank
- Waterbox Marine EX 110.4
Lid - Kraken Reef
Filter - *(x2) klir di-4 v2
Controller - *Hyrdos
Lights - Reef Breeders Meridian 35
Protein Skimmer - Reef Octopus Elite 150-int
Heaters - (x2) Finnex THS-300 Watts
Powerheads - *(x2) Reef Octopus Octo Pulse 2
Return Pump - Reef Octopus VarioS-4
*from old tank

She placed the order last night so hopefully it ships along the lines when Waterbox says it will in January.

Tank looks great! Following along!

Black Friday is here, and I couldn’t resist the urge to stock up on gear I’ll need in the coming months. Ordered everything I could think of. Fingers crossed that there aren’t any surprises! :D

Thinking about getting different lights, as everything I’ve seen online suggests 2x 16HD won’t be sufficient for this tank. I don’t plan to do SPS, primarily softies and LPS.

I’m considering two options:

- 2x Hydra 32
- 2x XR-15 G6 Pros

I suppose the more sensible choice would be to purchase another 16HD, but I’m not sure if that would even be sufficient.

Ended up trying something new to go along with a new tank and I ordered a ReefBreeders Meridian 35. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Thanks!

Hi - I'm considering this tank. Do you have it yet? I see that it comes with mesh tops, but you're going to do a custom one. Is there a reason for that?

Haven’t recieved it yet - Waterbox said it should should around January .

I have a kraken lid on my current tank and I love the way they are designed. Little pricy but well worth it in looks.

Thanks. I emailed Waterbox with some questions. I wonder how firm that "January" target is.

Very cool, excited to see it. I have the internal overflow version of that tank. The external overflow will be nice and help with some of the challenges I have with aquascape and flow since there is a big column up the middle.

This is my first overflow tank, so I’m both excited and a little nervous about it.

I’m planning to pick up more rock from a LFS and hopefully create a more aesthetically pleasing rockscape for my tank.

Small update!

According to aquacave my light should ship by the end of the week :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes: and according to waterbox my tank should be shipping by the end of next week!!

My wife decided it would be a smart idea to go to a coral expo today. Well, $265 later, I now have more coral for the tank I don’t have yet! :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

Everything was pretty angry by the time I got home, and then the dip made them close up even more. Three hours later, everything seems to be opening up nicely.

That’s a great haul for $265. Can’t wait to hear about the reef breeder leds. I remember my first ever led were the value led and they had knobs on top where you adjusted the color or the white and blues and had timers to turn them on and off.

Stand was pretty easy to build, and the common problem with the Waterbox 4820 stand of the past is fixed since they include the extra support along the back. Beautiful sump and sturdy stand. Just can’t for the life of me adjust the left-hand door. :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:
