Well I finally hit the “buy now” on a Waterbox Reef 70.2 . I’ve always had tropical tanks so this will be my first ever Marine tank. I wanted to set it up as a mixed reef setup.

the sump footprint is pretty small and I’m struggling to decide what skimmer to get?

also thinking of getting a gyre wave maker and attached it with the sealed submersible magnet in the back weir?

any other suggestions on what I should get?

hopefully it will arrive in the next week or so and I’ll start uploading some pics!

I'm loving the AI Nero 5 pump.....can move a LOT of water in large swaths of water column. And so easy to clean and mount!
Thanks for that! Will have a look at them. Will one be enough or would two be better for some cross flow?

Tank not arrived yet but I’ve got the following for it.
Aqua Medic 300watt titanium heater
Aqua Medic T controller twin
Ecotech Vectra S2
Red Sea ReefWave 25

next list would be lights, think Red Sea LED90
UV filter but not sure which one?
ATO think the Tunez Osmolator
Nyos Skimmer 120

Cheers! How do you find the bubble Magnus curve 5? And how do you find the light? I’m between yours and the Red Sea 90

If its shipping anything like the 60.2s you won't see your aquarium until well into February at least. A handful of us are still waiting on tanks ordered back around Thanksgiving

Light ia absolutely amazing, when its on loads of good reviews, believe it has mkre spectrum and light colors than the red sea 90. As for the skimmer it only went in today, but again good reviews. Unfortunately limited in choices for thw sumo size. Octo ss100 was my next option but was $250 more than my BM. Nyos 120 would fit but also doubke the price.

It’s finally here and I’m super stoked!! It arrived the other night I was working late and it sat outside in the snow for about 3 hours and I struggled getting it inside haha. Quality is superb. Build the cabinet tonight but the tank itself is too heavy to tackle on my own so will need to wait until I can get a hand.. rock arrived as well but going to take my time as I normally rush into things and I want to create a nice scape with some unusual shapes. Feel like a kid in a candy store!

Any update to your build mate? I've just got the same tank, had it set up around a week now and am still considering which wavemaker to go with!
