So I built this stand.. it’s not done yet but I want to completely waterproof this think inside and out. Like a drop of water lands on it, and the droplets screams and immediately has evaporates waterproofing.. what should I use

I followed the advice of @Bronc and used Flexseal. It took 4 spray cans, but it is extremely waterproof.

High gloss latex and enamels work well. Poly will work just need many many coats. Never heard of using flex seal. Does it shrink, peal, easy to wipe or is it textured? Tbh, I've always just laughed at the commercials and never really took the product serious.

I felt the same way after watching the commercial and would never have tried it if Bronc hadn't suggested it.

It doesn't shrink, peal, or chip. It is actually fairly smooth and hard when dry. I was expecting a "grippy" texture, but it feels just like paint on drywall. Water just sits on it until you wipe it up. Wipes up easy enough that no salt residue gets left behind. I can tell you that I plan on doing this on every stand I build in the future.

It is high odor and does drip a lot when spraying, but the drops smooth out a bit on their own. NOT an indoor job!
